International Virtual Conference on the Progress in Psychoradiology and Cognitive / Affective NeurosciencePiPCAN
(The 1st Announcement)

Understanding how the brain regulates cognitive and affective processes and how these processes become dysregulated in mental disorders represents one of the greatest scientific challenges and may open up radically new approaches to define and treat mental disorders. The pace of future advances in the field will critically depend on collaborations that cut across traditional borders in terms scientific disciplines, technologies and cultures.

To this end the first Progress in Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience and Psychoradiology Conference (PiPCAN) aims to bring together leading international and national experts with different scientific and methodological backgrounds to:

    (1) facilitate progress to a synergistic framework integrating current findings and perspectives on how the brain regulates cognitive and affective processes, and how dysregulations in these processes contribute to mental disorders.

    (2) increase scientific exchange and collaborations between Chinese and Western experts, as well as with early career researchers and students in the field.

The conference is jointly organized by Prof Qiyong Gong from Huaxi Magnetic ResonanceResearch Center (HMRRC), Sichuan University and Prof. Benjamin Becker from the neuSCAN lab University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu (UESTC).

The exact schedule will be published before the meeting on this webpage.
